Beyond Sleep Norms: Tailoring Parenting to Strong-Willed Children's Unique Temperaments with Macall Gordon
"Why won't you sleep?!"
Sleep advice often overlooks the diverse needs of parents and their children, failing to account for varying temperaments and challenges. And we can just take a moment to acknowledge that there is SO much advice out there??
Raising a child who is intense, sensitive, alert, and persistent can present unique difficulties, but it also brings remarkable strengths. The presumed research backing traditional sleep training methods often lacks comprehensive evidence and ignores individual differences.
Mama's, it's time to shift our perspective on sleep training, embracing approaches that honor each child's temperament and family dynamics!! Encouraging moms of strong-willed children to explore alternative strategies that suit their child's needs fosters a sense of empowerment and community, reminding them they are not alone in this journey.

It's completely normal to feel like you're falling short at times, but remember...

Embrace the journey, knowing that it's the small steps forward that lead to progress and fulfillment.

These discussions not only reinforce positive behaviors but also foster a strong bond between mothers and children built on trust, understanding, and open communication.
First VS Last
Mamas we often cherish and celebrate their children's first milestones with immense joy and excitement...
However, amidst the flurry of firsts, it's equally crucial to savor and be fully present for the lasts.
The last time a child reaches for your hand, the last bedtime story, or the last hug before they outgrow your lap are moments that hold profound significance.
These fleeting lasts remind us of the transient nature of time and the importance of relishing every precious moment, for we never truly know when the last time will come, leaving behind cherished memories that we'll forever hold dear.
