Making Education & Reading Fun w/ Reading Specialist Jenny Frick
Jenny Frick is a Reading Specialist/Instructional ELA Coach, she provides private tutoring out of my home a few hours a week, and she has a BA in Elementary Education. After graduation, she began working in Houston as a first-grade teacher in 1995. This is her 28th year of teaching and has experience teaching 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in ELA but has the most experience teaching first grade and as a Reading Specialist/Interventionist with K-4 graders.
In 2012 she received her M.Ed. in Reading and holds a State Reading Specialist certification and is Dyslexia trained. I am married with two teenagers, she enjoys reading, watching Netflix, listening to music and podcasts, and exercising outdoors.
Today I will just be asking a bunch of questions all of us moms have wondered about or asked for information at one time or another. We talk about reading delays, dyslexia, How to keep kids interested in learning, homeschooling, and private & public school. Sight words, Phonics, memorization, tutoring and so much more.
